On Saturday at Belmont Park, the track will host the $500,000 Hill Prince Stakes. Restricted to three-year-olds, the Grade 3 event will be contested at a mile and an eighth on the turf and has drawn a full field of twelve colts and geldings with one additionally entered for the main track only.
World Approval has been tabbed as the morning line favorite in the deep field at odds of 3-1 for trainer Mark Casse. A gray son of Northern Afleet bred and owned by Live Oak Plantation, he has been on the board in six of his nine starts and is a four-time winner. He was last seen winning the Saranac Stakes (G3) at Saratoga to earn his second graded stakes win of the year. Joel Rosario will be aboard and they will break from post position ten.
Money Multiplier trying to turn the tables on World Approval
Second choice at morning line odds of 7-2 is Money Multiplier, one of three horses in the race for trainer Chad Brown. A dark bay son of Lookin at Lucky, he was purchased for $260,000 as a yearling and has been on the board in five of his six starts. He is trying to earn his first stakes victory and has been second in his last two starts against stakes company. Javier Castellano will be aboard and they will break from post position nine.
Second U.S. start for Tale of Life (JPN)
Also in the field at morning line odds of 5-1 is Tale of Life (JPN) for trainer Graham Motion. A dark bay son of Deep Impact (JPN), he is a homebred for Flaxman Holdings and will be stepping up in class after a fourth place finish against allowance company in his North American debut at Saratoga in September. He broke his maiden at first asking in France. Irad Ortiz, Jr. will be in the irons and they will break from post eleven.
