Not only are Japan-trained horses shining in the biggest international races, his tactical speed should get him a good trip and he is running like a horse who will have no trouble with the extra half-furlong he will have to cover in the Run for the Roses.
Practical Move is another horse who merits consideration for exotics. The leading runner on the Southern California spur of the Kentucky Derby trail, he had to work for that nose victory in the Santa Anita Derby (G1) over Mandarin Hero, but he showed the guts to finish the job, something that can help in the Derby.
